Clarence <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

POST, TX - Clarence <strong>Gunn</strong>, 61, of Post died Thursday, Oct. 31, 1996, in a Lubbock<br />

hospital. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with burial in Terrace<br />

Cemetery. Arrangements are by Justice-Mason Funeral Home. He was born April 11, 1935,<br />

in Kent County. He was a farmer in the Close City community and a member of First<br />

Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Oneita <strong>Gunn</strong> of Post; a son, Danny <strong>Gunn</strong> of<br />

Lamesa; two daughters, Darlene Speck of Eden and Nita Jo Heckaman of Post; a sister,<br />

Marty Elliott of Abilene; and eight grandchildren<br />

Clarence E. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Clarence E.: <strong>Gunn</strong>, 63, :a Luxora, Alabama businessman, died Saturday Oct 9, 1970 at<br />

Chickasawba Hospital.. Born in Manila, he had-been a resident of Luxora over 50 years.<br />

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sleetie Tyree <strong>Gunn</strong> of Luxora One son, . Kenneth <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

of Luxora; One daughter, Mrs. Edna Jo Montgomery of Vinemont, Ala.; One brother,<br />

Tweedle <strong>Gunn</strong> of Luxora; And three grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m.<br />

tomorrow in Cobb Funeral Home chapel, Rev, Paul Kirkindall officiating. Burial will be in<br />

Manila Cemetery, Pallbearers will be John Button, Gene <strong>My</strong>rick, L. B. Bycum, J. W.<br />

Riggs, Jack Finigan and Baldy Riggs.<br />

Clarence Jones <strong>Gunn</strong>, Jr.<br />

79, died Aug. 7. 2002. He was a groundsman eight years for Perry Township Schools,<br />

retiring in 2000. Previously, he worked 39 years for Bridgeport Brass, retiring in 1987. Mr.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church<br />

and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ernie Pyle Post. Services: 1 p.m. Aug. 10 in Singleton<br />

Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 9. Burial:<br />

Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Survivors: wife Betty Rader <strong>Gunn</strong> daughters<br />

Sharon <strong>Gunn</strong>, Serita Southwood six grandchildren seven great-grandchildren.<br />

Services were held at Chattanooga, Tennessee todav for Clarence Lee <strong>Gunn</strong>. who died at<br />

his home. Adams Co, Pa Friday Jan 30, 1948 of complications He had been in failing<br />

.health for.several months. Mr. <strong>Gunn</strong> was a farmer and dairyman and had resided in<br />

Adams county for two years and four months Prior to that he had lived for six years m<br />

Baltimore, coming to that city from Chattanooga. He is survived by his wife Samantha<br />

Jenning <strong>Gunn</strong>: his father, Andrew J. <strong>Gunn</strong>. Chattanooga; one son, J C <strong>Gunn</strong>, at home; one<br />

daughter, Evelyn of Baltimore, one grandchild and one brother, Houston <strong>Gunn</strong> of<br />

Chattanooga. Burial Forest Hill Cemetery, Chattanooga.<br />
