Darrell Randolph Gunn
Ladysmith, WI 1939-2012 - Darrell Randolph Gunn, 72, of Sheldon, peacefully went to
see the Lord, at his home with his wife at his side, on Thursday morning, June 21, 2012,
after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Darrell was born at home on Sept. 13,
1939, to Raymond and Etta Gunn. On Dec. 14, 1960, he married his life-long partner and
love Jacqueline Duck. He was a man who loved the outdoors, going fishing and hunting
when he had the time. If anyone had anything broken, they knew where to bring it. He
loved to be there for his family and friends. He was also there for them. Throughout his life
he had several occupations to show what a talented man he was. He finally settled on dairy
farming in 1976. He continued farming until the barn burned down in 2002. Not able to sit
still, he worked at Walter Brothers until he retired in 2009.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 51 years Jacqueline; his sons Randy of Madison, Steve
(Teri) of Waupun, and Jamie (Andrea) of Sheldon; his daughter Barb (Kim) Krisik of
Ladysmith; two sisters; four brothers; his 13 grandchildren; his one step great
granddaughter, his 8 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He
was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Etta; his brother who died in infancy;
and his beloved grandson Cody. There will be no services per Darrell’s request. The
Nash-Jackan Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
