Gordon, Jessica, and Amber. Bob was a veteran of World War II in the US Army Signal Corps.<br />

He attended the University of Buffalo. Upon returning from the military Robert joined his<br />

father, the founder of Mullen and <strong>Gunn</strong>, a liquor wholesale company, and subsequently became<br />

President of the company until he retired in 1981. Bob's passion was horse racing and he loved<br />

to go to the Fort Erie, Ontario thoroughbred horse racing track with his father, but in later<br />

years he made many friends at Off Track Betting in Buffalo, NY. He and his wife, Eileen, moved<br />

to Memphis to be closer to their children and grandchildren. The family will receive friends at<br />

MEMORIAL PARK FUNERAL HOME, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, with the funeral<br />

to follow at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Holy Rosary<br />

Catholic Church, 4181 Park Ave. Memphis TN 38117<br />

Robert Clyde <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

78, of Ocala, Florida, passed away March 3, 2011 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. Born<br />

in Camp Point, Illinois, he came to this area 32 years ago from Twin Lakes, Michigan. Mr.<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> was a retired over the road truck driver and a Methodist by faith. He is survived by<br />

his daughter, Denise <strong>Gunn</strong> of Powell, OH; sons, Robert E. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Ocala, Marvin E. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

of Ocala, and William K. <strong>Gunn</strong> of Dublin, OH; brother, John Marvin <strong>Gunn</strong> of Ocala; sister,<br />

Sue <strong>Gunn</strong> of Ocala and his companion, Mary T. Shannon of Ocala. A Memorial Service will<br />

be held at ROBERTS FUNERAL HOMES, Bruce Chapel East (2739 SE Maricamp Rd.<br />

Ocala 732-9944) on Wednesday (March 9th) at 1PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests<br />

that memorial contributions be made to your charity of choice.<br />

Robert E. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

YANCEYVILLE -- Mr. Robert Earl <strong>Gunn</strong>, 41, of 291 Church St., died Thursday, August 12,<br />

1999, at Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, Va. A native of Cawell County, the was<br />

the son of Mr. Oliver Lewis <strong>Gunn</strong> and Mrs. Margaret Hankins <strong>Gunn</strong>, both deceased. He was<br />

a construction worker and a member of Hamer Baptist Church. Survivors include three<br />

brothers, Mr. Ronel Wayne <strong>Gunn</strong> of Boston, Mr. Earnest Lewis <strong>Gunn</strong> of Tampa, Fla., and<br />

Mr. Willie Edmonds of Reading, Pa.; five sisters, Mrs. Irene Jeffries of Danville, Miss<br />

Margaret <strong>Gunn</strong> of Cedar Grove, Miss Mattie <strong>Gunn</strong> and Miss Ola <strong>Gunn</strong>, both of Yanceyville,<br />

and Mrs. Frances Chalmers of Brockton, Mass.; and a number of aunts and uncles. The<br />

funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hamer Baptist Church by the Rev. Cephus<br />

Lea. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Fulton Funeral Home from<br />

7 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home.<br />

Robert Earl <strong>Gunn</strong> Sr.,<br />

of 2108 Oregon Ave., Richmond, Va., died April 18, 1975. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.<br />

Ada Gayle <strong>Gunn</strong>; one daughter, Mrs. Gracie G. Morane; two sons, Robert E. <strong>Gunn</strong>, Jr., and<br />

Gordon William <strong>Gunn</strong>; one brother, Andrew <strong>Gunn</strong>; six sisters, Mrs. Grace Smith, Mrs.<br />

Doris Eades, Mrs. Gloria Blankenship, Mrs. Madeline Clements, Mrs. Helen Clements, and<br />

Mrs. Inez Gray; four grandchildren. Remains rest at the Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral<br />
