Services for Miss Jean <strong>Gunn</strong>, an employee of the Tribune Publishing Company in Cedar<br />

Rapids, Iowa for many years until moving to Washington, D. C., last September, will be<br />

conducted in the Turner chapel at 3:30 p.m. Thursday by. Dr. Andrew E. Kurth, pastor of<br />

Westminster Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Linwood cemetery in Cedar Rapids.<br />

Friends may call, at the chapel Thursday morning, Dec 19, 1951. Miss <strong>Gunn</strong> died in a<br />

Takoma Park, Md.,<br />

Jean Augusta <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

1926-2008 Born in San Pedro on March 16, 1926, died December 5, 2008. She was proud to<br />

be a Native San Pedran graduating from SPHS Class of Winter '44. She happily lived her<br />

entire life in San Pedro. She was predeceased by her parents, Capt. Harold V. & Gladys<br />

Garrison; and her sister, Dolly Epps. She met Roy, her husband of 62 1/2 years while in<br />

high school on her birthday and they married after he returned from WWII on April 24,<br />

1946. Jean was a fabulous homemaker who enjoyed her garden, sewing, crafts, and taking<br />

care of her family. She is survived by her husband, Roy; her daughters, Lucretia "Janie"<br />

Kopecky (Eugene), Lucinda Bramlett, grandchildren, Karole Kopecky, Joshua Bramlett<br />

(Delia) and Laura Kopecky. Jean loved following SPHS football and still knew all of the<br />

words to "Hit the Line for Pedro" which she would sing on occasion. The services will be<br />

held at Green Hills Memorial Park on Wednesday December 10th. Viewing will be from<br />

1:00-2:00 pm with graveside services starting at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family<br />

requests donations be sent in Jean's name to: South Bay Cats Rescue & Adoptions, P.O.<br />

Jean Gerturde Boucher <strong>Gunn</strong> Quimby<br />

SPRINGFIELD - Jean Gertrude (Boucher) Quimby, 69, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at<br />

Springfield Health and Rehab after a battle with lymphoma. She was born Aug. 19, 1937,<br />

in Lebanon, N.H., the daughter of Edmond and Alvina Boucher. Jean is survived by her<br />

husband, Floyd (Rick) Quimby of Londonderry, Vt; her four children, Vicki Lee Borland<br />

of Germany, Bonnie Jean <strong>Gunn</strong> of Springfield, Vt., Michael Scott <strong>Gunn</strong> of Orleans, Vt.,<br />

and Peter Edmund <strong>Gunn</strong> of Weathersfield, Vt; two sisters, Mary Andress of West<br />

Lebanon, N.H., and Pauline Muzzey of Enfield, N.H.; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces,<br />

nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Joyce and Helen;<br />

and her brother, Paul. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, May 18, at 3<br />

p.m. at the home of her son Peter, 4329 Weathersfield Center Road, Weathersfield, Vt. For<br />

Jean <strong>Gunn</strong> Johnson<br />

The graveside funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2008 at Springfield<br />

Memorial Gardens for Jean Evelyn Johnson of Eugene, Oregon, who died July 23 of<br />

chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was 64.She was born March 29, 1944, in Los<br />

Angeles to John and Helen Hunter <strong>Gunn</strong>. She married Martin Johnson on July 12, 1997, in<br />

Eugene.Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Holly Smith of Eugene, Heather<br />

Putnam of Vida and Dana Werth of Junction City; a son, Doug Loiler of Lake Oswego;<br />

and 11 grandchildren.Arrangements by Andreason’s Cremation & Burial Service,
