Ann Pinnecoose of Towaoc, Everisto Dion Lehi and wife, Doris of Cortez, Judy Katherine<br />

Lehi of Towaoc, and Charles Terrance Lehi and wife, Vicki of Towoac; 14 grandchildren<br />

and 1 great grandchild. Two brothers, Julian Reed and wife, Jana of Fort Duchesne, Utah<br />

and Lornie Pinnecoose of Salt Lake City, Utah; and nine sisters, Winifred Cuch and<br />

husband, Alfonso of Fort Duchesne, Utah, Gayla Valdez and husband, Julian of Windover,<br />

Utah, Claria Pinnecoose and husband, Jerry of Randlett, Utah, Beverly <strong>My</strong>rick and<br />

husband, Orville of Randlett, Utah, Janice <strong>Gunn</strong> and husband, Melvin of Ignacio, Colo.,<br />

Sylvia <strong>Gunn</strong> of Denver, Colo., Sandra <strong>Gunn</strong>of Portland, Ore., Aletha Litz of Longmont,<br />

Colo., and Deanna Pinnecoose of Fort Duchesne, Utah. also survive Alvin.Preceding Alvin<br />

in death were his birth parents; one sister, Linda Grove; and one brother, Rod<br />

Grove.Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Alvin Pinnecoose with Wells<br />

Fargo Bank in Roosevelt, Utah.<br />

Alvin B. <strong>Gunn</strong> - Former Lyons Mayor<br />

Alvin B. <strong>Gunn</strong>, 91, of Wadsworth, Ohio, formerly of Lyons, passed away Saturday, June<br />

16, in AlterCare Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on Jan. 31, 1910 to the late<br />

Willard A. and Cora E. (Barden) <strong>Gunn</strong>, a dear brother of the late Nettie B. (Glen)<br />

McGurer. Before <strong>Gunn</strong> graduated from Lyons High School in 1928, he had started his 47<br />

year career in banking at the Farmers State Bank of Lyons. He was employed as a cashier<br />

and became a member of the Board of Directors. He served on the Fulton County Health<br />

Board, Fulton County Ration Board, and the Morenci Hospital Board.He was a Village<br />

Council member, Lyons Mayor, Village town clerk, Lyons/Royalty Fire Dept., Member of<br />

the Water Board, and a founder and officer of the Lyons School PTA. Also he was a<br />

member of the Lyons Christian Church and served as church elder, deacon, treasurer and<br />

Board of Trustees. In 1977, Alvin was honored as a 60 year member of the Royalton Union<br />

Masonic Lodge #434. He was raised to a 32 Degree in 1946. He was also a member of the<br />

Order of Eastern Stars and belonged to the Wauseon Elks for more than 50 years. He<br />

enjoyed hunting, fishing, goffing, traveling and gardening. His family and friends were<br />

always a priority with him. His wife, Geraldine (Smith) <strong>Gunn</strong>, preceded him in death in<br />

1985 after 54 years of marriage. His second wife, Ruth (Mortemore) <strong>Gunn</strong>, passed away in<br />

1991. Surviving are daughters, Janis (Bud) Imber of Wadsworth, F. Jeannine Martin of<br />

Cleveland; step-daughter, Barbara (Jerry) Blackburn of Leesburg, Fla.; six grandchildren;<br />

and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Biehl-Malone Mortuary, Lyons,<br />

today from 6-9 p.m., where Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will<br />

be from the Mortuary on Wednesday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Brent Pomeroy officiating. Burial<br />

in Lyons Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to<br />
