1927 — Oct. 21, 2010 Christine Knutson <strong>Gunn</strong>, 83 of Duncan, Okla., died on Thursday,<br />

October 21, 2010, at Duncan Regional Hospital in Duncan. Funeral services will be held at<br />

10:00 a.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Ward officiating.<br />

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Don<br />

Grantham Funeral Home, Duncan.The family will receive friends at the funeral home<br />

Sunday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.She was born August 9, 1927 in Graham, Okla., the<br />

daughter of Dewey C. and Hollie H. (Wood) Teague. She married James K. “Pete”<br />

Knutson on Oct. 21, 1944 at Milo, Okla. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1994. She<br />

married Donald <strong>Gunn</strong> on Aug. 11, 2000 in Duncan.Christine was a member of Trinity<br />

Baptist Church.She was a clinic nurse for Dr. George Bryant for 25 years, retiring in<br />

1987.Christine was an avid shopper and especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren<br />

and family.Survivors include her husband, Donald, of the home, three sons and daughtersin-law,<br />

James K. “Jim” Jr. and Karon Knutson of Harrah, Okla., Dr. Nick and Ann<br />

Knutson of Oklahoma City and Lynn and Eileen Knutson of Murfreesboro, Tenn., a<br />

brother, Dewey Teague and wife Shirley of Healdton, Okla., two sisters, Sandra Eastep and<br />

husband Wayne of Elmore City, Okla. and Inez Walk and husband Johnnie of Healdton,<br />

four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by her<br />

parents and three sisters, Molley Marie Bandy, Pauline Russell and Marguerite<br />

Chance.Pallbearers are David Vinson and Don D. <strong>Gunn</strong>.Memorial gifts may be made to:<br />

Christine Doones <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

of Roxboro, N.C., formerly of Halifax County died Jan. 18, 2011 at Camden Place Health<br />

& Rehab Center in Greensboro, N.C. at the age of 75. Born in Halifax County on May 31,<br />

1935, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Cleveland Doones and Mrs. Eula Watkins<br />

Doones. She was married to Mr. Willie Albert <strong>Gunn</strong>. In addition to her husband, she is<br />

survived by four daughters, Deborah McCain and Pamela Locklear, both of Mebane, N.C.,<br />

Tina Williams of Greensboro,and Cynthia <strong>Gunn</strong> of Roxboro, N.C., two sons, William<br />

Randdall <strong>Gunn</strong> and Willie <strong>Gunn</strong> Jr., both of Durham, N.C., three sons-in-law, George<br />

McCain, Randy Locklear and Terrell Williams, a daughter-in-law, Iris <strong>Gunn</strong>, eight<br />

grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law, a god<br />

brother, Harold Claiborne, and a host of nieces and nephews, including the devoted Archie<br />

Reed, other relatives and friends. A funeral for Mrs. <strong>Gunn</strong> will be conducted Saturday,<br />

Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax with Minister William <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge cemetery. The family will receive friends at the<br />

service on Saturday. Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from 10 a.m.-8<br />

p.m. at The Crawford House.<br />

Graveside services for Christine Marie <strong>Gunn</strong>, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert<br />

<strong>Gunn</strong> who died Tuesday at her home 523 North Twenty-first St., Richmond, Va., will be<br />

held at 11 am Thursday in Oakwood Cemetery. Besides her parents she is surived by two
