George "Bud" <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Gary George "Bud" <strong>Gunn</strong>, age 71, passed away on November 2, 2005. George leaves to<br />

mourn his passing his devoted and loving wife of 36 years, Farley (nee:Garrett); his loving<br />

son, J.D. (fiancee, Stacey Martin) <strong>Gunn</strong> of Gary, IN; his loving daughter, Terri Lynn (Joe)<br />

Kwasny of Virginia Beach, VA and Kristen Roark of Murfreesboro, TN;greatgranddaughter<br />

Kiera Roark of Murfreesboro. Family and friends are to gather Sunday,<br />

November 6, 2005 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave.<br />

(1 Mile South of Rt. 30) Schererville, IN. Funeral services will be held Monday, November<br />

7, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial<br />

George N. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

Sherman, Texas - Jan 3, 1929 - George <strong>Gunn</strong>, 73, died at his home four miles northwest of<br />

Sherman. He is survived by three sons; Russell <strong>Gunn</strong> of San Angelo; Bud <strong>Gunn</strong> of Luling,<br />

and Roy gunn of Sherman; and two daughters; Mrs. C. S. Allen of San Angelo and Mrs.<br />

Nora DeWees of Denison. Guneral services were held on Thursday, conducted by the Rev.<br />

J. C. Skaggs, pastor of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church. Burial in West Hill Cemetery<br />

George <strong>New</strong>ton <strong>Gunn</strong>,<br />

87, Ellenton, died Dec. 6, 1999. He was born Feb. 23, 1912, in Adairsville, Ga., and came to<br />

Manatee County 21 years ago from Atlanta. He was self-employed in the aviation industry.<br />

He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Doris Ellen; a son, Jim B. of Ellenton; and<br />

four grandchildren. Graveside service and burial will be in Melwood Cemetery in Stone<br />

Mountain, Ga. Palmetto Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge. Sarasota <strong>New</strong>spaper.<br />

George P. <strong>Gunn</strong><br />

BOOTHBAY Maine- George Piers <strong>Gunn</strong>, D.M.D., passed away peacefully Feb. 8, 2012,<br />

with his family by his side. George was born April 14, 1923, in Greenville. His family<br />

moved to Bangor, where he graduated from John Bapst High School, then the University of<br />

Maine and Tufts School of Dental Medicine. He then enrolled in the U.S. Army Dental<br />

Corps, where he served until after World War II. There, he met his future wife Audrey, an<br />

Army nurse. They returned to Bangor, where George opened a dental practice. He enjoyed<br />

his profession immensely, and retired after 42 years in dentistry. George was<br />

compassionate and kind to all his patients. He volunteered his services to the needy, elderly,<br />

and local Catholic clergy. Along with his good friend Dr. Howard Kominsky, they were<br />

instrumental in founding the School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Maine at<br />

Bangor. For decades, he was an active member of the local Lions Club. He was an<br />

accomplished athlete in basketball and golf. Golf remained his passion throughout his life<br />

and he had many life-long friendships with the people he played with in Maine and<br />

Florida. Upon retirement George and Audrey summered in Maine at Holbrook Pond, and<br />

wintered in Ormond Beach, Fla. He was most happy when surrounded by good friends and
