HCOPy:DESTination <br />

HCOPy Subsystem<br />

This command selects the printer output medium (Disk, Printer or Clipboard) associated with<br />

configuration 1 or 2.<br />

Parameter: ::= 'SYST:COMM:GPIB' | 'SYST:COMM:SER' | 'SYST:COMM:CENT' |<br />

'MMEM' | 'SYST:COMM:PRIN' | 'SYST:COMM:CLIP'<br />

'MMEM': Directs the hardcopy to a file. Command MMEM:NAME ''<br />

defines the file name. All formats can be selected for HCOPy:DEVice:LANGuage.<br />

'SYST:COMM:PRIN': Directs the hardcopy to the printer. The printer is selected<br />

with command SYSTEM:COMMunicate:PRINter:SELect.<br />

GDI should be selected for HCOPy:DEVice:LANGuage.<br />

'SYST:COMM:CLIP': Directs the hardcopy to the clipboard. EWMF should be<br />

selected for HCOPy:DEVice:LANGuage.<br />

Example: "SYST:COMM:PRIN:SEL2 'LASER on LPT1'"<br />

'Selects the printer and output medium for device 2<br />

"HCOP:DEST2 'SYST:COMM:PRIN'"<br />

'Selects the printer interface as device 2.<br />

Characteristics: *RST value: -<br />

SCPI: conform<br />

Mode: A<br />

This command is an event and therefore has no *RST value and no query.<br />

HCOPy:DEVice:COLor ON|OFF<br />

This command selects between color and monochrome hardcopy of the screen.<br />

Example: "HCOP:DEV:COL ON"<br />

Characteristics: *RST value: OFF<br />

SCPI: conform<br />

Mode: A<br />

The type of instrument is selected with SYSTem:COMMunicate:PRINter:<br />

SELect, which will automatically select a default output medium. Therefore the<br />

command HCOPy:DESTination should always be sent after setting the device<br />

type.<br />

HCOPy:DEVice:LANGuage GDI | WMF | EWMF | BMP<br />

This command determines the data format for the printed output.<br />

Parameter: GDI (Graphics Device Interface): Default format for output to a printer that has<br />

been configured under Windows. Must be selected for output to the printer<br />

interface (HCOPy:DEVice 'SYST:COMM:PRIN'). Can be used for output to a file<br />

(HCOPy:DEVice 'SYST:COMM:MMEM'). The printer driver that was configured<br />

under Windows is used to generate a file format that is specific to the printer. GDI<br />

is available only for HCOPY:MODE SCReen.<br />
