<strong>Analyzer</strong> Mode<br />

CENTER The CENTER softkey opens the window for manually entering the center frequency.<br />

The allowed range of values for the center frequency is:<br />

• for the frequency domain (span >0):<br />

minspan / 2 ≤ fcenter ≤ fmax – minspan / 2<br />

• and for the time domain (span = 0):<br />

0 Hz ≤ fcenter ≤ fmax<br />

Remote command: FREQ:CENT 100MHz<br />

CF STEPSIZE The CF STEPSIZE softkey opens a submenu for setting the step size of the center<br />

frequency. The step size can be coupled to the span (frequency domain) or the resolution<br />

bandwidth (time domain) or it can be manually set to a fixed value. The softkeys<br />

are mutually exclusive selection keys.<br />

The softkeys are presented according to the selected domain (frequency or time).<br />

Softkeys in frequency domain:<br />

0.1 * SPAN The 0.1 * SPAN softkey sets the step size for the center frequency entry to 10% of<br />

the span.<br />

Remote command: FREQ:CENT:STEP:LINK SPAN<br />

FREQ:CENT:STEP:LINK:FACT 10PCT<br />

0.5 * SPAN The 0.5 * SPAN softkey sets the step size for the center frequency entry to 50% of<br />

the span.<br />

Remote command: FREQ:CENT:STEP:LINK SPAN<br />

FREQ:CENT:STEP:LINK:FACT 50PCT<br />

X * SPAN The X * SPAN softkey allows the factor defining the center frequency step size to be<br />

entered as % of the span.<br />

Remote command: FREQ:CENT:STEP:LINK SPAN<br />

FREQ:CENT:STEP:LINK:FACT 20PCT<br />

= CENTER The = CENTER softkey sets the step size coupling to MANUAL and the step size to<br />

the value of the center frequency. This function is especially useful during measurements<br />

of the signal harmonic content because by entering the center frequency<br />

each stroke of the STEP key selects the center frequency of another harmonic.<br />
