6.13 INSTrument Subsystem<br />

INSTrument Subsystem<br />

The INSTrument subsystem selects the operating mode of the unit either via text parameters or fixed<br />

numbers. Only operating modes available for the base unit and the models and the options described in<br />

this manual (see “Documentation Overview” on page 0.4) are listed. For details on the other operating<br />

modes refer to the corresponding separate manuals.<br />

INSTrument:COUPle NONE | RLEVel | CF_B | CF_A<br />

In analyzer mode, this command selects the parameter coupling between the two measurement<br />

windows screen A and B.<br />

Parameter: NONE: No coupling. The two measurement windows are operated like two<br />

independent "virtual" devices.<br />

RLEVel: The reference levels of the two measurement windows are coupled.<br />

CF_B: The center frequency of screen B is coupled to the frequency of marker 1 in<br />

screen A.<br />

CF_A: The center frequency of screen A is coupled to the frequency of marker 1 in<br />

screen B.<br />

Example: "INST:COUP NONE"<br />

'Switches off the coupling of measurement windows. This leads to two independent<br />

"virtual" devices.<br />

Characteristics: *RST value: NONE<br />

SCPI: device-specific<br />

Mode: A<br />

INSTrument:NSELect <br />

This command enables you to switch between the modes by using numbers.<br />

Parameter: 1: <strong>Analyzer</strong> mode<br />

3: FM demodulator mode<br />

12: BLUETOOTH<br />

Example: "INST:NSEL 1"<br />
