6. Switching on the Fast ACP routine.<br />

➢ Press the CP/ACP CONFIG � softkey<br />

➢ Set the FAST ACP softkey to ON.<br />

Measurements on Modulated <strong>Signal</strong>s<br />

➢ Press the ADJUST REF LEVEL softkey.<br />

The R&S <strong>FSQ</strong> makes consecutive measurements on the 5 channels in the<br />

zero span mode using the receive filter specified in IS 136 to define the<br />

resolution bandwidth. The power in each channel is displayed on the graph as<br />

a function of time.<br />

As the resolution bandwidth is much wider than the one used for the integration<br />

method, the results are much more stable when compared at the same sweep<br />

time.<br />

Repeatability can be influenced by the selected sweep time. The results<br />

become much more stable if long sweep times are selected. Since the<br />

amplitude distribution is different in different channels (part of the modulation<br />

spectrum falls within the first adjacent channel), the repeatability depends on<br />

the spacing of the measured channel from the transmit channel.<br />
