An introduction to the USA. The first half of the course includes an overview of US geography,
a brief survey of American history from the original Spanish colonization to the present and a
basic introduction to the US political system. The second half will cover the education system
and everyday life in the USA. Students will take a mid-term and a final exam plus a short test
on Geography. Required readings will be selected chapters from the textbook as well as extra
handouts provided by the instructor.
