Das wegen der Teilnehmerzahlbeschränkung erforderliche Anmeldeverfahren wird noch bekannt
gegeben.
This course is intended to complement Prof Roessler's class "Theories and Models" (see extra
timetable)but is also open to students who do not attend this class. Thus it provides a suitable
forum and specific language support for students who would like to give a presentation or get
help with their writing assignments.
In addition, we will look at different types of media and their effectiveness, analyze media
habits and investigate the influence of the media on politics.
Special emphasis is put on the development of speaking and writing skills, the practice of
subject-specific vocabulary and of grammatical structures. This is the first part of a twosemester
course which will be continued in the summer.
This course will prepare students for the English level III test with special emphasis on Media
Studies to be taken in summer 2004.
