PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS
1.2 SUMMARY
A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and
Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 Summary of Work section, apply to this
Section.
A. This Section includes exterior cement concrete pavement for the following:
1. Driveways and roadways.
2. Parking lots.
3. Curbs and gutters.
4. Walkways.
5. Unit paver base.
B. Related Sections include the following:
1.3 DEFINITIONS
1. Division 3 Section "Concrete Work" for general building applications of concrete.
2. Division 2 Section "Earth Moving" for subgrade preparation, grading, and
subbase course.
A. Cementitious Materials: cement alone or in combination with one or more of blended
hydraulic cement, fly ash and other pozzolans, and ground granulated blast-furnace
slag.
1.4 SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: For each type of manufactured material and product indicated.
B. Design Mixtures: For each concrete pavement mixture. Include alternate mixture
designs when characteristics of materials, Project conditions, weather, test results, or
other circumstances warrant adjustments.
C. Samples: 10-lb sample of exposed aggregate.
D. Qualification Data: For manufacturer and testing agency.
E. Material Test Reports: From a qualified testing agency indicating and interpreting test
results for compliance of the following with requirements indicated, based on
comprehensive testing of current materials:
