A. Portland Cement: ASTM C150
1. Type II: All concrete in contact with soil.
2. Type I: All uses except where Type II is specified.
3. Use one brand of cement throughout project, unless otherwise acceptable to
Architect.
B. Fly Ash: 15 percent maximum by weight.
C. Aggregates: ASTM C-33. For exterior exposed concrete, do not use fine or coarse
aggregates containing spall-causing deleterious substances.
D. Water: Potable.
E. Admixtures, General: Provide admixtures for concrete that contain not more than 0.1 percent
chloride ions.
F. Air-Entraining Admixture: ASTM C 260, certified by manufacturer to be compatible with other
required admixtures.
