B. Store sheathing level and protect against contact with damp and wet surfaces, exposure to
weather, breakage and damage to edges. Provide air circulation under covering and around
stacks of materials.
1.06 LIMITATIONS
A. Do not use sheathing as a base for nailing or mechanical fastening. Fasteners should be
flush to the face of the board, not countersunk.
B. Protect sheathing from exposure to water, moisture and condensation per manufacturer’s
recommendations.
C. For all installations, design details such as fasteners, sealants and control joints per system
specifications must be properly installed per system specifications. Openings and
penetrations must be properly flashed and sealed. Failure to do so will void the warranty.
1.07 WARRANTY
A. Materials Warranty: Provide sheathing manufacturer’s standard warranty covering sheathing
materials for five years from date of substantial completion.
B. Weathering Warranty: Provide sheathing manufacturer’s standard warranty covering in-place
exposure damage to sheathing for six months commencing on date of purchase by
contractor.

metal framing products which may be incorporated in the work include, but are not limited to,

B. Available Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, manufacturers offering
sheathing products which may be incorporated in the work include, but are not limited to, the
following:
1. Georgia-Pacific Corporation.
2.02 METAL FRAMING
A. System Components: Manufacturers' standard load-bearing steel studs of type, size, shape,
and gauge as indicated. With each type of metal framing required, provide manufacturer's
standard steel runners (tracks), blocking, lintels, clip angles, shoes, reinforcements,
fasteners, and accessories for applications indicated, as needed to provide a complete metal
framing system.
1. Steel Studs: Provide 600S137-43 studs at 16 inches on center, unless noted
otherwise.
2. Heavy Duty Furring Channels: 18 gage.
