frontiera nella produzione degli scaffold. Condrociti autologhi sono<br />

seminati su un substrato velocemente riassorbibile e posti in coltura<br />

cellulare all’interno del bioreattore. Questo ultimo imprimendo<br />

stimoli meccanici (pressione idrostatica) alla coltura stimola ed<br />

accelera la produzione <strong>di</strong> matrice da parte delle cellule. Il prodotto<br />

finale è quin<strong>di</strong> impiantato all’interno del <strong>di</strong>fetto cartilagineo. Uno<br />

stu<strong>di</strong>o clinico preliminare a breve termine ha <strong>di</strong>mostrato alla RM<br />

un riempimento del 66%-100% del <strong>di</strong>fetto con tessuto simile alla<br />

cartilagine circostante nel 75% dei casi trattati 21 .<br />

Ad oggi non è stato <strong>di</strong>mostrato quale sia la tecnica <strong>di</strong> riferimento<br />

come alternativa all’ACI. Valide risposte ai <strong>di</strong>versi quesiti inerenti<br />

la rigenerazione cartilaginea potranno essere dedotte soltanto alla<br />

luce dei risultati <strong>di</strong> stu<strong>di</strong> a lungo termine controllati randomizzati.<br />
