CONCLuSIONE<br />
Il tema dei biomateriali e biotecnologie ha sempre più importanza<br />
in molti ambiti della chirurgia ortope<strong>di</strong>ca. I mass me<strong>di</strong>a, e <strong>di</strong> conseguenza<br />
i pazienti, ripongono aspettative sempre maggiori nelle<br />
nuove tecnologie. Il numero <strong>di</strong> stu<strong>di</strong> scientifici in questo ambito è in<br />
continua crescita, così come lo spettro delle nuove soluzioni proposte.<br />
Queste nuove tecnologie hanno il potenziale vantaggio <strong>di</strong> poter<br />
essere abbinate a tecniche chirurgiche minimamente invasive 6-10 .<br />
I risultati clinici necessitano però <strong>di</strong> ulteriori approfon<strong>di</strong>menti per<br />
poter giungere a conclusioni concrete. È inoltre <strong>di</strong> fondamentale<br />
importanza colmare il gap che separa gli stu<strong>di</strong> in vitro e su modelli<br />
animali dall’applicazione clinica delle nuove tecnologie.<br />
