Discussed is the role of “green” organizationsin fighting for preservation of our planet’s natural resources. The outputof domestic as well as international initiatives or projects designed forprotection of the fauna and the flora is described. A need is primarily emphasizedfor strict collaboration between law enforcement agencies and representativesof NGOs monitoring pathologies in the environmental protectionarea. What these organizations have succeeded in to date is chiefly discussedon the example of education projects, with particular focus on training initiatives.In this latter case, these include, inter alia, the training offer targetedat representatives of enforcement agencies (policepersons, public prosecutors)and the judiciary (judges). Discussed in detail are individual schemesor programmes, particularly those attended by policepersons and representativesof frontier and customs services. The conclusive section presents thosemajor threats impending on natural environment that may assume the formof organized crime. The considerations are concluded with a summary highlightingthe most efficient means counteracting wildlife crime.45 Zob. E.M.
