Elaboration of an educational guide in occupational health adapted to the program
of European convergence in Higher Education
Objectives: The Declaration of Bologna establishes the commitment of coordination of
the educational policy to get the creation of a European area in higher education.
Among their objectives figure to establish an unique system of credits, ECTS (European
credit transfer system) for the European Universities. Occupational health is a subject
imparted in different degrees that it is also affected by this process. The objectives of
this research consist on to elaborate an educational guide in Occupational health with
the guidelines ECTS and to transmit our experience in the adaptation to the new model.
Material and methods: the recommendations of the document of the Ministry of
Education, Culture and Sport (February, 2003) have been continued, that it guides on
the quantity and the content of the learning that the student should carry out in an
academic course.
Results: the content of the academic guide is presented. The starting point is the
professional profile to determine objectives and academic and professionals
competences. In function of they are summed up it the contents, teaching methods, the
students' working plan, evaluation of the process and recommended bibliography. .
Conclusions: The system presents challenges for the European universities, the
departments, staff and students. It is to achieve a model with a level of coherence and
consistency in the program of the subject and adaptation to the context as soon as the
philosophy of the European credit, to the profile of the degree and professional
competences, to the characteristics of the student, to the support of learning, to the
scientific upgrade of contents and technological advances

Introducción
La Declaración de Bolonia sobre la convergencia en la enseñanza universitaria firmada
en 1999 y ratificada en la reunión de Berlín, establece el compromiso de coordinación
de las políticas educativas para conseguir la creación de un espacio europeo único en
educación superior. Para ello, propone como objetivos el establecimiento de un sistema
único de créditos europeo -el ECTS (European credit transfer system)- como unidad de
referencia sobre la que se estructura y organiza la enseñanza, y la adopción de una
arquitectura común de los títulos universitarios. (1,2).
