Summary<br />

Elaboration of an educational gui<strong>de</strong> in occupational health adapted to the program<br />

of European convergence in Higher Education<br />

Objectives: The Declaration of Bologna establishes the commitment of coordination of<br />

the educational policy to get the creation of a European area in higher education.<br />

Among their objectives figure to establish an unique system of credits, ECTS (European<br />

credit transfer system) for the European Universities. Occupational health is a subject<br />

imparted in different <strong>de</strong>grees that it is also affected by this process. The objectives of<br />

this research consist on to elaborate an educational gui<strong>de</strong> in Occupational health with<br />

the gui<strong>de</strong>lines ECTS and to transmit our experience in the adaptation to the new mo<strong>de</strong>l.<br />

Material and methods: the recommendations of the document of the Ministry of<br />

Education, Culture and Sport (February, 2003) have been continued, that it gui<strong>de</strong>s on<br />

the quantity and the content of the learning that the stu<strong>de</strong>nt should carry out in an<br />

aca<strong>de</strong>mic course.<br />

Results: the content of the aca<strong>de</strong>mic gui<strong>de</strong> is presented. The starting point is the<br />

professional profile to <strong>de</strong>termine objectives and aca<strong>de</strong>mic and professionals<br />

competences. In function of they are summed up it the contents, teaching methods, the<br />

stu<strong>de</strong>nts' working plan, evaluation of the process and recommen<strong>de</strong>d bibliography. .<br />

Conclusions: The system presents challenges for the European universities, the<br />

<strong>de</strong>partments, staff and stu<strong>de</strong>nts. It is to achieve a mo<strong>de</strong>l with a level of coherence and<br />

consistency in the program of the subject and adaptation to the context as soon as the<br />

philosophy of the European credit, to the profile of the <strong>de</strong>gree and professional<br />

competences, to the characteristics of the stu<strong>de</strong>nt, to the support of learning, to the<br />

scientific upgra<strong>de</strong> of contents and technological advances<br />

Introducción<br />

La Declaración <strong>de</strong> Bolonia sobre la convergencia en la enseñanza universitaria firmada<br />

en 1999 y ratificada en la reunión <strong>de</strong> Berlín, establece el compromiso <strong>de</strong> coordinación<br />

<strong>de</strong> las políticas educativas para conseguir la creación <strong>de</strong> un espacio europeo único en<br />

educación superior. Para ello, propone como objetivos el establecimiento <strong>de</strong> un sistema<br />

único <strong>de</strong> créditos europeo -el ECTS (European credit transfer system)- como unidad <strong>de</strong><br />

referencia sobre la que se estructura y organiza la enseñanza, y la adopción <strong>de</strong> una<br />

arquitectura común <strong>de</strong> los títulos universitarios. (1,2).<br />
