narrow band of paral1el incised lines and pl1nctate dots. At regular wid~
intervals are thr. e low relief figures of an animal, possibly a monkey.
The general aspect of this bowl is decidedly more Antillean than Isthmian;
parallel ane! looped incised lines, punctat · e!ots and animal relie f
being among the outstanding characteristics of Antillean cera111ics.
The last two specimens described th ~refore combine ree! wash, an\.:
red fields on buff, with incised lines arrel punctate dots, and with both
low and high relief, thus tying these s. veral featl1res into one complex.
