Fetal chromosomes were normal and the segment of dilated

duodenum (D) was longer that that typically seen in duodenal

atresia; therefore other causes of duodenal obstruction,

such as annular pancreas, were suggested. St, Stomach.

(C) Supine abdominal radiograph on day 1 of life shows

abnormal bowel gas pattern. Exploratory surgery conirmed

annular pancreas. See also Video 38.10.
