Abantwana bafunda amagama amasha ngesikhathi kufundwa lo msindo omusha. Nakuba<br />

lezi zindlela ezimbili zehlukana, umphumela uyafana ngoba ekugcineni ingane ifunda<br />

amakhono okwakha amagama ngokusebenzisa izinhlamvu noma iqoqwana lezinhlamvu.<br />

Lapho le ndlela isetshenziswa kahle, abantwana bayakwazi ukuzifundela ngokuzimela.<br />

UJoubert nabanye (2008, p. 9) bathi le ndlela ihambisana nokusetshenziswa kwamasu<br />

athile anjengalana alandelayo:<br />

� ukunamathelisa umsindo egameni elithile, njengokuthi nje umsindo u’d’ umsindo<br />

wedada.<br />

� Ukusebenzisa amagama asikiwe (flash cards) ukuzivoca ekuwabhaleni.<br />

� Ukusebenzisa igama ezimweni ezahlukene.<br />

� Ukuphindaphinda igama.<br />

UJordaan (1991, p. 282) ugcizelela ukuthi abacwaningi abaningi bemfundo<br />

bayavumelana ngokuthi le ndlela isemqoka ezilimini ezincike kakhulu empimisweni<br />

njengesiBhunu, isiZulu, isiXhosa, isiSuthu, kanye nesiPedi, kodwa ingaholela ekufundeni<br />

ngokubala amagama njengoba kulukhuni ukuhlukana nomkhuba wokuphimisa igama<br />

negama kulezi zilimi (p. 90). Nangale kwalokho, abanye abafundi bangathwala kanzima<br />

ekuhlanganiseni imisindo ukuba ibe ngamagama. Abantwana bangagcizelela kakhulu<br />

ekubizeni amagama ngendlela eyiyona ngendlela yokuthi kuze kulahleke okuyiyona nto<br />
