1.16UKUFUNDA OKUBHALIWE NGOKWANAMUHLA<br />

UCoyne, uKame’Enui kanye noCarnine (2007) bathi luningi ucwaningo oseluke<br />

lwenziwa mayelana nokufunda imibhalo kodwa oluningi lwalugxile emaswini okufunda<br />

ngokuqondisisa asetshenziswa abafundi abafunda kahle, kanti futhi lokhu kusabonakala<br />

kuyinto esenzeka ngisho namanje. Ngaphandle kwalokhu, okunye ukuthi kwakuye<br />

kutholakale ukuthi umcwaningi ugxile engxenyeni eyodwa kulezi ezinhlanu<br />

ezibalulekile lapho umuntu efunda ukufunda, alibale ngezinye, angabe esabheka ukuthi<br />

zonke lezi zingxenye ezibalulekile eziholela ekutheni umuntu akwazi ukufunda<br />

ngokunomqondo. Lezi zingxenyana yilezi: ulwazi lezimelamsindo/ lemisindo, ulwazi<br />

lokubona amagama ukufunda ngokunganqikazi/ ngokungangingizi, ulwazimagama<br />

kanye nokufunda ngokuqondisisa (Coyne et al, 2009).<br />

UCommeyras (2009) waseNyuvesi yaseGeorgia eMelika uyakuqinisekisa ukuthi<br />

ukufunda umbhalo kuyilokhu okuyikhona nje ngenxa yokubhala noma ngenxa<br />

yokubhaliwe. Kanjalo nokubhala ukuze kube yimpumelelo kudinga kube khona<br />

ukufunda “Reading is what it is because <strong>of</strong> writing; and writing is what it is because <strong>of</strong><br />
