The paper will outline the author's 20 years of
experience as a music therapist working in schools for
children with a variety of special needs in Britain. It will
present a view of how changing attitudes in both
general and music education have affected the role of
the therapist; from suspicion to acceptance; the
problems and achievements, together with some
thoughts about the future of music therapy in the
educational field. Video illustrations will be used.
La ponencia perfilará los veinte años de experiencia de
1000
la autora como musicoterapeuta que ha trabajado en
escuelas para niños con diferentes exigencias
especiales en Inglaterra. Se presenta también un
panorama de cómo el cambio de actitud, tanto en la
educación general como en la musical, ha afectado el
papel del terapeuta: desde la sospecha a la aceptación,
los problemas y los logros, junto con algunas
reflexiones acerca del futuro de la musicoterapia en el
campo de la educación. Se utilizarán ejemplos
grabados en vídeo.
