Even if no examination can take place in disciplines<br />

concerning Self experience training within a program,<br />

certain common learning processes and steps <strong>of</strong><br />

progressions can be lined up especially from the<br />

individual music therapy training work with students.<br />

These learning processes and steps <strong>of</strong> progression can<br />

<strong>of</strong> course be analyzed in different ways. I have<br />

developed the following way <strong>of</strong> analyzing them on the<br />

basis <strong>of</strong> a psychoanalytical approach:<br />

1) Learning to see/experience intimate<br />

relations/parents the way they are and the way you<br />

intend them to be (distinguishing ideal from reality).<br />

2. Learning to contain and accept pain, disappointment,<br />

aggression, joy and other feelings related to intimate<br />

relationships. - In these two learning processes<br />

Consciousness <strong>of</strong> Proiections is trained.<br />

3. Learning to recognize yourself in "your own eyes"<br />

instead <strong>of</strong> in the eyes <strong>of</strong> other people.<br />

4. Learning to handle what you feel is right for you -<br />

independent <strong>of</strong> parent censorship and your own<br />

defiance reactions in a responsible way for yourself and<br />

others.<br />

- In these two learning processes Consciousness <strong>of</strong><br />

Introsections is trained.<br />

5. Learning how to develop important tools for the<br />

practical work when you contain feelings at the same<br />

time as you allow feelings to appear.<br />

- This last learning process train Self containment as a<br />

music therapeutical tool.<br />

This is only one way <strong>of</strong> analyzing steps <strong>of</strong> progression in<br />

the training <strong>of</strong> the students' ability to interchange in a
