MusicSpace is setting-up a national development
strategy with a firm intention to create other centres
nationwide. Each new centre will reflect the need of the
particular community. Therapists and colleagues from
many cities and also from more rural settings have
expressed serious interest in establishing such centres
in their own communities.
Nottingham MusicSpace will be starting operations in
September 1993.
There are current discussions with colleagues in
London, Edinburgh and Belfast with a view to potential
links.
Management
and Sources of Funding

MusicSpace is managed by its Council which includes
leading figures from the musical, academic, educational
and business communities. Hard-working groups of
volunteers support some of the administrative work and
fund-raising activities. The growing list of well-known
Patrons adds support to the development of the trust.
Funding for the activities of MusicSpace comes from a
mixture of sources: statutory bodies such as the
Departments of Health, Education and Social Services;
other charities and trusts, company giving and private
donations.
Summary
All is all MusicSpace aims for able-bodied and dis-abled
people alike to come together through active
