A Scientific Research is being carried on in order to test<br />

the results in <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Therapy</strong> obtained on deep-deaf and<br />

deaf children with associated disorders, diagnosed and<br />

prothesied within the first 18 months <strong>of</strong> life.<br />

Methodological criteria or my way <strong>of</strong> proceeding in<br />

music therapy:<br />

1) Knowledge <strong>of</strong> the physical phenomena<br />

concerning the perception <strong>of</strong> the sound-waves in the<br />

human being.<br />

a) Sound is relationship.<br />

b) Sound is a complex phenomenon as a result <strong>of</strong><br />

fundamental<br />

overtones.<br />

c) Sound includes Timbre, Length, Intensity and<br />

d) The duration <strong>of</strong> the sound must be considered by<br />

the relationship beteen Silence-Sound-Silence.<br />

because its components are never separable (Timbre,<br />

Length, Instensity and Duration), it is relationship in the<br />

widest meaning.<br />

2) The Resonance phenomenon is the way by which<br />

any perception is possible.<br />

3) The Resonance phenomenon is considered in<br />

relation with the bodily perception,<br />

perception and the use <strong>of</strong> hearing-aid.<br />

4) The deaf child perceives the sound (fundamental<br />

tones and overtones) in a very natural way, thus tuning<br />

his voice and opening himself to the verbal<br />

communication.<br />

5) The <strong>Music</strong>al Improvisation is the best way to<br />

understand every little communicating hint coming from<br />

the child.<br />

6) The Method can be expressed by the word<br />

"Eurythmy", meant as the relationship between music-
