It has both a psychological and physiological effect.<br />

The Physioacoustic Method is one <strong>of</strong> the new sound<br />

therapy techniques. It can be used in a precise and well<br />

controlled way to correlate the input into the body with<br />

the physiological and psychological responses. Still we<br />

have to remember that all therapeutic work includes a<br />

number <strong>of</strong> different variables which sometimes are<br />

difficult to control.<br />

Healing is a process where the behavioral factors play a<br />

predominant role. The patient himself is the most<br />

important link in the chain <strong>of</strong> therapeutic events. Nothing<br />

in human life is permanent, but more consistent<br />

therapeutic results can be expected when high<br />

technology tools, proper therapy techniques and cooperation<br />

with a motivated patient create a functioning<br />

total system.<br />

El Método Fisioacústico es una nueva aplicación de la<br />

terapia sonora, por lo que la investigación se encuentra<br />

todavía en fase inicial. Todavía son escasas las<br />

pruebas científicas de beneficios reales a largo plazo.<br />

Para explicar los mecanismos de este método, son<br />

necesarias tanto la investigación pura como la aplicada.<br />

Las pruebas realizadas hasta el momento parecen<br />

prometedoras, especialmente en la relajación y<br />

recuperación generales y en el tratamiento de varios<br />

tipos de estrés relacionados con síndromes,<br />

especialmente el dolor y la hipertensión.<br />

La música es una parte esencial de la terapia<br />

fisioacústica y tiene un efecto psicológico y fisiológico.
