The observation that music may, have a therapeutic
effect in people with PD it not new. Oliver Sacks, in his
seminal book "Awakenings" (1) reports a number of
patients with Post-encephalitic: Parkinsonism in whom
music was dramatic in its, effect on movement,
transforming immobile subjects into freely moving,
people.
