such a performance <strong>of</strong> the music programme the group<br />

cohesion is strengthened and the patients more readily<br />

share their experiences.<br />

2) The mixing different kinds <strong>of</strong> the music in<br />

programme is accepted with the greater interest by the<br />

patients. Those <strong>of</strong> them who accept the "serious" music<br />

as difficult and incomprehensible, seldom have visual<br />

images and think that they have a poor imagination, an<br />

activation <strong>of</strong> their fantasy actlvity is observed. In our<br />

opinion this is due to the great extend to their feeling <strong>of</strong><br />

being in equal position with the melomans in the group.<br />

3) Proposing <strong>of</strong> selected themes for group freeassociation<br />

is accepted willingly by the participants. This<br />

gives the possibility for chaneling the thaughts, feelings<br />

and images <strong>of</strong> the patients in the desired by the<br />

therapist direction. The received associative material in<br />

this way is usefull from a diagnostic point <strong>of</strong> you.<br />

4) In the music-therapeutic sessions exellent results<br />

are obtained by using elements <strong>of</strong> psychodrama. Appart<br />

from using nonverbal techniques, the psychodrama<br />

playing <strong>of</strong> the initial problem can be mad which is<br />

projected in the associations <strong>of</strong> the patients provoked<br />

by the music listening or <strong>of</strong> a conflict emerged among<br />

some patients in the course <strong>of</strong> session.<br />

In asserting the music therapy as a therapeutic method<br />

we face some difficulties.<br />

Some <strong>of</strong> them are connected with the reserved attitudes<br />

towards the method <strong>of</strong> many psychoterapists. Some <strong>of</strong><br />

them think that a music therapy has not an active<br />

principle and can not be used for a change. The<br />

psychotherapists who have convinced themselves in<br />

the serious value <strong>of</strong> the music therapy face mainly
