Regardless of the feasibility of the becoming a
profession in the full sense of the word, the issues
relating to the occupational place of music therapy are
still pertinent. Is it possible or desirable to try to achieve
a secure and influential position ín healthcare? What
compromises would have to be made to achieve this?
Are the necessary compromises worth it for the
clinicians and for the clients? As the healthcare world
becomes more complix and more corperate, and the
financial aspects more crucial, these are questions that
have to asked and answered by all the health
occupations.
