The activity <strong>of</strong> this laboratory is expressed through a<br />

group in active music therapy that employs the wellknown<br />

therapeutical effects <strong>of</strong> the groups, the music.<br />

The recording is present as final period <strong>of</strong> the groups.<br />

According to a therapeutic programme specifically<br />

designed for the patient, he has participated in the<br />

musicotherapy group once a week and has had<br />

fortnightly meetings with the psychiatrist. These<br />

meetings have give the possibility to test the followed<br />

treatment and a reduction <strong>of</strong> the pharmacological<br />

therapy has been possible to result <strong>of</strong> in improvement <strong>of</strong><br />

his problems.<br />

In the development <strong>of</strong> this therapeutic way we noted the<br />

following effects:<br />

1) The overcoming <strong>of</strong> the repetitive and sclerotic<br />

relational ways;<br />

2) The increase <strong>of</strong> the capability to socialize and to<br />

stay together, through a community experience where<br />

"music " is the socializing object;<br />

3) The reinforcement <strong>of</strong> the personal identity through<br />

the recognition <strong>of</strong> the competitiveness and the praise <strong>of</strong><br />

the group;<br />

4) The decrease <strong>of</strong> anxiety through the "holding"<br />

function developed by the group;
