In the annual concert C. outshone all others with an
exceptionally good rock act.
He sung flawlessly and looked professionally agressive
at his audience.
On the other hand, one day he surprised me by
confessing his trully favoured music: Irish Folk-ballads.
He sings them with an amount of feeling, although I was
not allowed to compliment him on this matter.
It became a major part of our individual lessons and the
repertoire of the band also evolved to a greater diversity
of types of music.
After having participated in my lessons for three years, I
have a group of pupils who have reached a more than
acceptable playing-level and a new band has been

formed, with C. as lead-singer and guitarist.
There was a standing agreement that everybody had
an equal contribution to pay in the repertoire.
The following concert surprised everyone with a totally
different presentation.
The music as well as the band's presentation differed
radically.
They were visibly working as a real team and their
performance radiated fun.
C. sang two of his favourite ballads to conclude the
concert.
He among others was complimented on the whole
performance and C. especially on the amount of
emotion expressed by his singing.
Someone stated his personal view on the quality of C's
previous performance, which he did not like at all.
