"Mary" - " [Music therapy ) helps lift depression and
makes me feel more active, It helps with movement.
helped me feel more alert."
"Joe" - "[Music therapy has helped my] concentration
and trying to forget I had PD; it has given me extra selfconfidence."
This paper has detailed the range of research projects
initiated by the therapy team in Northern Ireland. The
findings suggest that there are noticeable, measurable
effects of music therapy with his client group and point
to the need for further research work . With this in mind
we wish to coordinate an international study linking
music therapist worldwide working with people with PD.
We end the paper with the launch of this study and invite
anyone working in this area to take part. In order to
clarify how the international PD study network would
operate, we list the requirements for inclusion as:
675
include drug therapy, stage of the disease and
function.)
3) The therapist and /or a co-researcher is/are willing to
administer appropriate cuestionnaires (in relation to a
'quality of life' profile and psychiatric profile).
video recording at regular intervals and for the duration
