El género policíaco en la radio. La escena del crimen en Taxi Key
The new digital environment that has entered the radio over the last few years offers to the
radio a unique opportunity to create new formats and expressive forms that will help to renew
its themes and modes of narration. In this changing scene, radio fiction should recover as raw
material for new areas of innovation. Due to the limited presence of fiction in the current
program schedules, you must perform a review of the various profiles that could be accom-
modated dramatic today.
This communication aims to study specifically the serial police drama, one of the genres
most likely to integrate many of the expressive resources available to the media. In the same
way as happens with other radio dramas, the higher production of detective story on the Spa-
nish radio is located between the end of the 1940s and early 1960s. Throughout these pages
highlights the interest that can report the study of the narrative conventions of serial drama
police issued during this period, as a starting point suitable for the renewal and reinvention of
this type of discourse in fiction. It has been selected as case study one of the detective series
most representative and innovative at the time mentioned: “¿Es usted buen detective? Las
aventuras de Taxi Key”, created by screenwriter Luis G. Blain and broadcast on Radio Bar-
celona. Through a descriptive qualitative methodology, and from studying the scripts of this
serie, the scene of the crime, around the articulated their weekly episodes, it will be analysed.
