Abstract<br />

The <strong>Radio</strong> <strong>is</strong> <strong>dead</strong>. <strong>Long</strong> <strong>live</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Radio</strong>!<br />

El género policíaco en la radio. La escena <strong>del</strong> crimen en Taxi Key<br />

The new digital environment that has entered <strong>the</strong> radio over <strong>the</strong> last few years offers to <strong>the</strong><br />

radio a unique opportunity to create new formats and expressive forms that will help to renew<br />

its <strong>the</strong>mes and modes of narration. In th<strong>is</strong> changing scene, radio fiction should recover as raw<br />

material for new areas of innovation. Due to <strong>the</strong> limited presence of fiction in <strong>the</strong> current<br />

program schedules, you must perform a review of <strong>the</strong> various profiles that could be accom-<br />

modated dramatic today.<br />

Th<strong>is</strong> communication aims to study specifically <strong>the</strong> serial police drama, one of <strong>the</strong> genres<br />

most likely to integrate many of <strong>the</strong> expressive resources available to <strong>the</strong> media. In <strong>the</strong> same<br />

way as happens with o<strong>the</strong>r radio dramas, <strong>the</strong> higher production of detective story on <strong>the</strong> Spa-<br />

n<strong>is</strong>h radio <strong>is</strong> located between <strong>the</strong> end of <strong>the</strong> 1940s and early 1960s. Throughout <strong>the</strong>se pages<br />

highlights <strong>the</strong> interest that can report <strong>the</strong> study of <strong>the</strong> narrative conventions of serial drama<br />

police <strong>is</strong>sued during th<strong>is</strong> period, as a starting point suitable for <strong>the</strong> renewal and reinvention of<br />

th<strong>is</strong> type of d<strong>is</strong>course in fiction. It has been selected as case study one of <strong>the</strong> detective series<br />

most representative and innovative at <strong>the</strong> time mentioned: “¿Es usted buen detective? Las<br />

aventuras de Taxi Key”, created by screenwriter Lu<strong>is</strong> G. Blain and broadcast on <strong>Radio</strong> Bar-<br />

celona. Through a descriptive qualitative methodology, and from studying <strong>the</strong> scripts of th<strong>is</strong><br />

serie, <strong>the</strong> scene of <strong>the</strong> crime, around <strong>the</strong> articulated <strong>the</strong>ir weekly ep<strong>is</strong>odes, it will be analysed.<br />
