kleurgrense.
Albert: Ja, dit bestaan ook onder blankes.
Quincy: I just want to say, we need people sitting around, this discussion here, we
need to start from somewhere, that is active involvement in trying to bring people
together, by doing, by wanting to see this reconciliation. I just want to mention, this man
has done so much, that some people tend to forget God now and sort of respect this
man more than God. This man Mandela, when he comes out of jail people thought he
would be the first person to say, take your guns and kill the white. But instead of saying
that, he said let us forget the past, let us move on and see how we can reconcile. We
must actually be seen to be doing it. And this is the man that actually avoided a civil
war in this country. If we can be seen to be actively involved, let me give an example: if
you enter into a business situation, you do not see a white or black there, we are all
equal, but once we leave our work environment, and start our social responsibilities,
then that whole thing starts again. These are now white and these are blacks. That
should be something of the past, we must move away from that situation. The
relationship, the friendliness that we have in our respective businesses, if that could
filter down, even when we have our social activities. That is how we must try to turn the
situation around. Are the whites different the moment they leave their workplace? I
said, when we are a Christian and going to church, are we different from the working
environment? Why, when you are in church you feel that it is very difficult to unite
because of the different cultures, but at work we are able to co-operate and understand
one another so on? I am saying, we are the people as leaders of our respective
communities who must take the lead. Unless we accept the past, our different cultures
and so on, the separate way and not turn around and move closer to each other ... I
