(1983) observan que la longitud deeste órgano varia en función de la edad y encuentranun valor medio de 5,44cm en las ovejas adultasfrente a 4,42cm en las hembras jóvenes. ParaVeksler-Hess et al. (1992) la longitud media delcérvix oscila entre 7-9cm y el número medio de 3-5 anillos en el 91,6% de los animales que observaron.Eppleston et al. (1994) observan una longitudmedia del cervix para ovejas adultas de 4,87±0,10cm y 3,97±0,13 anillos, una medida ligeramenteinferior a la señalada en nuestro trabajo.Por otro lado, el grado de correlación existenteentre la longitud del cérvix y el número de anilloses muy bajo (r=0,09±0,06), por lo que no es posiblesegún nuestros resultados, predecir el número deanillos a partir de la longitud.El coeficiente de correlación entre la anchuraexterna del cérvix con la anchura del punto másestrecho (ANPE) es asimismo muy bajo(r=0,02±0,81) y no significativo, por lo tanto aunqueun cuello tenga una anchura externa grande ello noindica que el diámetro de su luz también lo sea.BIBLIOGRAFÍABUNCH, T.
