Such storieshave convinced most Americans and most immigrants that hardwork (and luck) can bring the economic success immigrants seekin the US.There are three other reasons why there are fewer US worriesabout integrating immigrants in the US than in many Europeancountries - smaller government, fiexib<strong>il</strong>ity, and stronganti-discrimination policies:1. Government plays a sma<strong>il</strong>er role in the US economy andlabor market, so fewer decisions are required aboutwhich jobs are restricted to citizens.
