A computer-based instrument (OMRI) was developed for assessing on-line metacognitive
regulation. By using it, two cognitive tasks (letter recalling and key striking) were given to 34
subjects of college students in order to assess information management, monitoring and debugging.
An abridged Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) was also conducted. Then the two scores
were compared with another one got from a self-report on metacognitive regulation. Results
showed that the scores from OMRI was significantly correlated with their self reports, but the
correlation between the scores of MAI and self-report, which reflects metacognitive regulation
ability, was not significant.

Many studies have suggested that the relation between inspection time(IT)and intelligence is
indirect, they are associated with other mediate factors. Participants (N=120) performed four tests:
IT task, perceptual speed, working-memory capacity and general intelligence test. The results
indicate: IT is more related to perceptual speed than IQ.IQ correlated with perceptual speed and
with working-memory capacity and the two coefficient is similar. The interaction between
working-memory capacity and perceptual speed is significant. IT does not influence
working-memory capacity. The result suggest that IQ is affected parallelly by perceptual speed
and working-memory. Perceptual speed, not working-memory, is one of medi-factors between IT
and IQ.

The views on implicit intelligence of 223 the excellent teacher and the ordinary teacher were
investigated. They were asked to list the characters of clever student of pupils and middle school
students. The results show that the excellent teachers consider the clever middle school students of
the most important character are mathematical logic thinking, and also t he clever boys of pupil.
The clever girls of pupil are language. Ordinary teachers consider the most important character of
the clever boys of pupil and middle school are mathematical logic thinking, the clever girls are
human relationships.

Simonton (1983) suggested an "inverted-U" relationship between creativity and formal education
that creativity could decrease with education. As formal education is vaguely defined, this study
aims to examine such curvilinear relationship between creativity and domain-specific knowledge.
Creativity is measured with an adapted version of Mednick's (1962) Remote Associates Test (RAT)
and "information technology" is used as the domain for its relatively convenient measurement and
