4083.112 The experimental research and psychological clinic of sandplay in China, Risheng

Firstly, experimental Sandplay research about lonely and non-lonely groups was introduced. By
the UCLA loneliness scale, the undergraduate Objects were selected. Results show: (1)
Significantly less Sandplay miniatures, more spacing used by lonely groups than those of
non-lonely groups; (2) More animal miniatures representing vital force and vigor used by
non-lonely groups than by lonely groups; (3) More plenteous, vigorous and fluent displayed by
Sandplay productions of non-lonely groups; (4) Greater effect imposed by Sandplay therapy on
non-lonely groups than on lonely groups in short term. Secondly, the Chinese Sandplay case
studies of psychological clinic were introduced.
4083.113 The evaluation of general psychological intervention on SARS medical staffs mental

This study is aimed to evaluate the impact of SARS medical staffs’ mental health during SARS
period and the effect of general psychological intervention. The 283 medical staffs in were
involved. The depression index was highest, while the soma and anxiety indexes were increased
lightly. Those who took straight coping style had a higher mental health level, and those who took
resigned coping styles had a lower level. The general psychological intervention could adjust the
medical staffs coping styles, the resign index decreased. At the same time, intervention increased
the objective social support and self-efficacy.
4083.114 Relationship between the personality tendency and the experience in expressing the
internal world, Naoko Okamoto, Okinawa International University, Japan
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between the personal tendency
and the style of experience in the process of expressing the internal world. 60 university students
were individually asked to do some expression using a miniature stage and dolls, to evaluate their
experiences in the process of expression, and to complete questionnaires which assess their
personality tendencies. From the results, relationship between the personality tendency and the
way of experience in the process of expressing the internal world was suggested.
4083.115 Review: Issues of fees in counslling and psychotherapy, Qing Xu, Zhejiang University,

The meaning of money is reviewed through literature from different psychotherapeutic traditions,
and the psychological and practical issues, which arise from the setting, changing and payment of
fees in counseling and psychotherapy, are discussed. The interaction this level can play an
important part in terms of defining and affirming reality, providing structure, strengthening the ego
and superego, or in helping the patient to achieve a greater degree of flexibility, using the therapist
