For <strong>Library</strong> Nieuwerkerk a rebuilding plan designs AEQUO an end to <strong>the</strong> gray image of <strong>the</strong> library. Because <strong>the</strong> library is housed<br />

on top of a mall, it is important to stay a climate boost.<br />

The warm and uncluttered space and invites to stay discovery. Read on a terrace next to <strong>the</strong> stage enough space for meetings,<br />

reading newspapers and magazines and drinking coffee. In consultation with <strong>the</strong> local kids, a lounge comic who created <strong>the</strong>ir own<br />

fur<strong>the</strong>r decorated. The interior is unique in design in an L-shape: <strong>the</strong> long side for collection, for short stays. In <strong>the</strong> armpit of <strong>the</strong><br />

fully automated and removal equipment of <strong>the</strong> first fully automated library in <strong>the</strong> Ne<strong>the</strong>rlands. Ano<strong>the</strong>r special feature: local<br />

information desk are completely deleted and replaced with "floor managers": walking between <strong>the</strong> cabinets and easily approachable<br />

For <strong>the</strong> <strong>Library</strong> houses designs AEQUO an interior that <strong>the</strong> library late in line with its neighbors under <strong>the</strong> same roof: <strong>the</strong> library as<br />

part of <strong>the</strong> entertainment center. The design is a bridge between <strong>the</strong> recreational part of entertainment and educational aspect of it<br />

and thus <strong>the</strong> library a new way to position within society. The design is a challenging battle with budget and program, and succeeds<br />

wonderfully in a large visual impact on visitors to bring her: this is an interior that is remembered, so <strong>the</strong> library retains its place in<br />

society! The use of basic colors used to create its own identity with little additional financial effort asks all <strong>the</strong> basics are bare<br />

aluminum or galvanized metal, <strong>the</strong> 'touchable' parts of <strong>the</strong> interior are wood. Blue light from an open ceiling and a bright red cast<br />

For <strong>Library</strong> Pendrecht AEQUO an interior design that many colors of <strong>the</strong> neighborhood symbolizes. The collection is in a street<br />

along <strong>the</strong> walls of <strong>the</strong> room, so <strong>the</strong>re remains an open central area. Each table has a different color EMALIT and symbolizes one of<br />

Biblio<strong>the</strong>ek Leiden, Leiden (Prov. Zuid Holland) – The Ne<strong>the</strong>rlands 2002<br />

Following a request from <strong>the</strong> City of Leiden in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Library</strong> of Leiden in December 2002, it was investigated whe<strong>the</strong>r and how <strong>the</strong><br />

Central <strong>Library</strong> is housed in <strong>the</strong> former orphanage on <strong>the</strong> Highland Kerkgracht Leiden. The <strong>Library</strong> of Leiden has to deal with <strong>the</strong><br />

consequences and respond to changes in society. As a result, more space should be for meeting, recreation, information and regional<br />

facilities. AEQUO's research focuses on <strong>the</strong> implications of <strong>the</strong>se substantive changes to <strong>the</strong> space program. and <strong>the</strong> extent to which<br />

<strong>the</strong> former orphanage will be able <strong>the</strong>m shelter. This creates an attractive and inspiring images, and a good insight into <strong>the</strong><br />

possibilities of both <strong>the</strong> library function and <strong>the</strong> use of <strong>the</strong> orphanage. (AEQUO)<br />

Biblio<strong>the</strong>ek Haarlem, Haarlem ( Prov. Noord-Holland) – The Ne<strong>the</strong>rlands 2002<br />

For Easy Reading Place (Makkelijk Lezen Plein) <strong>Library</strong> Haarlem, <strong>the</strong> first MLP in <strong>the</strong> Ne<strong>the</strong>rlands, designs AEQUO along with<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Library</strong> of Haarlem, after extensive study and an inspiring design a cabinet wall that challenges and surprises, inspires and<br />

invites <strong>the</strong> same time. The info-snack-wall is inspired by <strong>the</strong> famous frikandels wall, but provides important resources for healthier<br />

mind and tries to bridge <strong>the</strong> gap between dislectissche children, children with learning difficulties and <strong>the</strong>ir parents on <strong>the</strong> one hand,<br />

<strong>the</strong> existing resources at <strong>the</strong> library, media and o<strong>the</strong>r knowledge. The info-snack-wall works with a carefully calibrated collection,<br />

and toge<strong>the</strong>r with <strong>the</strong> specially developed bank that <strong>the</strong> kids much protection and safety, become a resounding success. (AEQUO)<br />

For <strong>the</strong> Horn <strong>Library</strong> design AEQUO a renovation plan that breaks open space. Three existing buildings in a loose bunch on a new<br />

way linked to <strong>the</strong> main stage is turned over and passages are highlighted and enlarged. The space a new momentum and <strong>the</strong><br />

perception of a larger whole to intensify a bright blue PVC flooring applied with a new direction and a tight grid. This flow of<br />

existing spaces in a new naturally into each o<strong>the</strong>r and <strong>the</strong> impression an enhanced library service. The color scheme is simple:<br />

buildings are white, <strong>the</strong> floor space blue, moments of entertainment and information are wood, and special areas red. A play-reading<br />

and cave for kids is an exciting journey, an auditorium with lots of light and color capabilities of <strong>the</strong> space for an exciting night out.<br />

Biblio<strong>the</strong>el Opmeer, Opmeer (Prov. Noord Holland) – The Ne<strong>the</strong>rlands 2000<br />

Designs for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Library</strong> Opmeer AEQUO a small area adjacent to an existing historic farmhouse. The expansion is independent of<br />

<strong>the</strong> bubble developed and refers to <strong>the</strong> hay houses in <strong>the</strong> vicinity of <strong>the</strong> project are often built to <strong>the</strong> area of <strong>the</strong> farm to increase.<br />

The design of <strong>the</strong> expansion contrasts in everything with <strong>the</strong> bell: one versus many materials, a versus much detail, simple vs.<br />

complex design. The whole is made of slate. The sober house is elaborated by a new harmony this contrast with <strong>the</strong> monumental<br />

For <strong>Library</strong> Veldhoven AEQUO an interior design that positions <strong>the</strong> library as a mature, professional organization, much quality<br />

information to offer. Much attention is given to front presentation, and special collections in particular [custom] cabinets are<br />

installed. also develops AEQUO for this project's Display Units 04, a modular system that can respond to changing presentation<br />

needs of <strong>the</strong> library without directly wholly replaced to be. A multifunctional reading <strong>the</strong> journal collection, located on <strong>the</strong> most<br />

beautiful room of <strong>the</strong> library on <strong>the</strong> floor, makes a visit more worthwhile. (AEQUO)<br />

Biblio<strong>the</strong>ek Volendam, Volendam (Prov. Noord-Holland) – The Ne<strong>the</strong>rlands 1999<br />

For <strong>Library</strong> Volendam AEQUO designs with very modest means an interior plan in an existing building. The plan features a central<br />

open space, making presentations, exhibition and meeting a given sanctuary, surrounded by a shell formed by <strong>the</strong> collection.<br />

The plan is organized by a strong use of color. By making a tour through <strong>the</strong> skin of <strong>the</strong> entire library bookcases unlocked. The walls<br />

are kept free for art and temporary exhibitions, which creates a quiet space that focuses attention on <strong>the</strong> user and his target. The<br />

graphic designer and artist Gijs Dragt designed as an extension of <strong>the</strong> interior wall decorations and <strong>the</strong> new style. (AEQUO)<br />

Biblio<strong>the</strong>ek Oss, Oss (Prov. Noord-Brabant) – The Ne<strong>the</strong>rlands 1996<br />

For <strong>Library</strong> Oss AEQUO an interior design plan with a number of distinctive custom features that <strong>the</strong> various building components<br />
