Este documento datado en 1630 muestra <strong>la</strong>s tasas que cobraba Thomas Cooke, el carcelero<br />

<strong>de</strong> Bri<strong>de</strong>well House of Correction en Southwark, Londres. Los vagabundos no pagaban lo que se<br />

veía reflejado en <strong>la</strong>s condiciones y el trato que recibían en <strong>la</strong> cárcel<br />

There is taken of everie prisoner (being able to paie) which is<br />

not committed as a vagrant, att theire discharge - xvid/<br />

which the un<strong>de</strong>rkeeper hath for keepinge a booke<br />

and his attendance on them./<br />

And for them that are Comitted as vagrants or strudie<br />

beggars there is noe Fee att all taken./<br />
