With the need for the formation of many-sided communicationsources, the first step of the "News Agencies Union of theTurk Speaking Countries" vvere taken. This Union vvas organized on 26-27 November 1992 in Ankara, vvith the cooperation of TICA andUNESCO. Ones again, vvithin this framevvork, the formation of the "Unionof Eurasian Press" vvas decided on vvith the conference on the "Roleof the Press in the Meeting of the Turk Republics". This decision vvasreached on 20-21 October 1993.In addition of these, such project as joint film and cinema production,joint project for the Eurasian Station, joint attempts concerning televisioneducation, a relationship betvveen private television in Turkey andTV stations broadcasting in the other Turk Republics and joint press publicationvvere created. While some of these projects vvere materialized,some of them vvere not.Moreover, such good example of cooperation as the Council of TurkWorld Writes and the Occasion of Turk World Poetry vvere seen amongcooperators.With Eurasian Television, a broadcasting policy has been through ofvvith the aim of enabling the Turk countries and communities having acommon language, culture, race and history to come closer, and of realizingcooperation becoming the joint station of ali the Turk Republics. Jointnevvspaper and magazine publications betvveen the Turk republics andTurkey have been mostly produced vvith Turkey as a source, and havegreatly materialized. Today "Zaman" nevvspaper that being printed for alithe Turk republics is functioning as a bridge to communication by publishingthe nevvs both about Turkey and ali the Turk republics.It's important to note that even TICA's Eurasian studies magazinedirected tovvards Turk publics and published in their dialects, is a jointcommunication activity.The fırst step of the Nevvs Agencies of Union of Turk SpeakingCountries (NAUTSC) that vve vvill approach as one of the fırst attempts ofproducing an important communication netvvork vvere taken at 26-27 November1992 at the Conference of Cooperation in Communication held inAnkara.The inability of the Nevvs Agencies of Union of Turk SpeakingCountries to reach the expected goals, and the inability to take concretesteps in the matters dealt vvith at the general council meeting stem fromthe fınalcial diffıculties that the Turk republics novv confront and that vvebelieve are temporary.578
