principle I am telling you. Frankly, Kent, you became a figure of some
mirth with me with your looney efforts to portray the Frazier v Quarry second
fight as a sanctioned eliminator. When challenged on whether world bodies
sanctioned the fight, you backtracked, arguing that it might have been
sanctioned by MSG and the New York State Boxing Commission.They have no
authority to sanction a world title fight. You know that. But you wouldn't
withdraw. You proved that you wouldn't admit being wrong even when you were
proven to be wrong.You ceased to have credibility at that precise moment
on the Frazier issue. And now you have demonstrated that you have no sense of
humour. It's a pity because the rest of us are having fun.Your excuses
and explanations regarding Frazier became farcical. Do you want me to list them
again ? That's why we had so much fun with them at your
expense.Comparatively, Kent, you are a whipper snipper. So a word of
advice. You shouldn't let good stories (read excuses) interfere with the truth.
Make that a rule in your journalism if that's what you opt to continue in. Don't
take things personally. And don't write stories about subjects you admire too
much to be objective about.When you write about your idols, Kent, you
take the chance of being called a Dead Parroter. I like you anyway.|

isn't about who was right or wrong about who was right about Frazier's ablility
as a fighter as this isn't even very important in the scheme of things. It is
about showing some respect for another possible fallen warrior, in this case
Jimmy Ellis.I do take to heart comments about our stricken heroes but if
I do it is because too many of them have fallen and too many people, fans and
journalists alike have forgotten them once they are no longer of use. Oh
by the way, any money I may be making on the upcoming Riddick Bowe fight I will
donate to charity as I won't take money for him to fight as he should not be in
the ring.You may look in the mirror and congratulate yourself in your
smugness and your big ego about how oh so funny your are, but in reality you
stepped over the line with the Ellis is dead jokes. You didn't even disrespect
Joe Frazier by downplaying his ablility as a fighter but you did disrespect
Jimmy Ellis as a man.If you believe anything is fair game, that
professional athletes open themselves up to any kind of critical review, then
why not make jokes about Mike Quarry on the Quarrys' own website because after
all, even though he suffers from the same affliction that took his brother
Jerry's life, he is still alive and he is fair game, right?I think it
would be in poor taste to do so as Mike Quarry is one of the finest gentlemen
you would ever want to meet, but in your mind you might think it is
fair.Understand that I don't come here as a journalist but as a fan and
I would like to think I can let my hair down here so to speak and talk freely
about subjects I do love. If I mention some of my articles that are elsewhere
it is because Mr. Jimmy (James Quarry) always encouraged me to plug what I am up

meant any disrespect. However, if you took it that way that's your perogative.
Jimmy was a fine fighter that made one of the weirdest career moves in history.
He is struggling along at middleweight losing to the top guys he faced like
Hurrican Carter and the like. Next thing you know he is bombing out
heavyweights and becomes heavyweight champ. I heard he put on tons of good
weight from getting his tonsils out, or was it his wisdom teeth? Anyways a
weird success story. Jimmy's best night was against Bonavena. He dominated
mose of that and showed his power and class in knocking Ringo down twice, a
tough feat indeed!|
