endgame have to be angry that we shouldn't have been there in the first place,
and those feelings will not go away. I have friends in Iraq, guys I served
with. There question is: what the hell is the program here? Their words, not
mine. I just agree with them...I also enjoyed the stats. Sorry I have to
spend so much time defending my self instead of on boxing. Freedom of speech is
still legal, at least until the Patriot Act says otherwise.Incidentally, I
voted McCain and Kerry.There's no question we'd be better off with
either.And, I'd take a dopey hippie like Fonda over those scumbags torturing
prisoners in Guatanamo.At least Democrats are anti-torture.Insult me if
you must. The majority of Americans are clearly against this president and this
war.Sorry to say I told you so, but I did.It should have been obvious.|
First, thank you for your service to our country. Second, I'm amazed by how
ignorant you are of American foreign policy, American security, middle-east
regional strategy, use of military intervention, etc. It sounds as though you
are a conspiracy nut of some type. Do you really believe George Bush is sending
our men and women into combat for some esoteric, inexplicable reason that has
nothing to do with safeguarding the interests of our country? This is stuff
that highschool juniors and some college kids looking for a cause are supposed
to believe. It's bizarre. You sound crazy. Bush is responsible for killing
thousands of Iraqi families? Excuse me, but his policy is responsible for
ridding Iraq of the tyrant who actually committed those crimes, Saddam. Get a
clue. |
|8/4/05 04:58:01 PM|Noam|same||same||||9|Gerry - Steve fought in Vietnam. Pay
him some respect and please stop ranting.By the way, what's YOUR
solution for Iraq. Would you cut and run ? Personally, I think you deliberately
raised the war issue to throw a 'hand grenade' into this site because you
haven't got your (competing) one up and running. Insurgency we can call it. If
you are a real Quarry fan, you wouldn't be trying to disrupt this site by
interjecting your political beliefs.Fandom/Forest - what is your
evidence that Ali condoned, participated in, or covered-up that shocking murder
of a brave officer ? If it's only because he was one of thousands of Black
Muslims at that time, then it doesn't cut it. That Ali wasn't charged shows that
there was no evidence of 'common purpose'.Accusing Ali of being involved
is as silly as saying all police are corrupt because of the actions of a
miniscule few. Imagine trying to prove common purpose there. Same with Ali.
Obviously, you feel very strongly about it, even though you - born around 1954 -
would have only been about 16 or younger when the murder happened. You didn't
join the police until later. You're clutching at straws to justify your hatred
of Ali, trying to take the high moral ground by using the murder as the source
of your emotion. It's easier doing that than admitting you hate Ali because he
didn't conform to standards expected of a 1960s black athlete. Your tortured
mind has issues needing to be resolved, sooner the better. Italian
Stallion - who is Bernard ? He seems like someone very close to your heart. So
go bake him a pie for when he gets home from day detention.|
|8/4/05 05:07:55 PM|Angelo|Washington, DC||funktron@yahoo.com||||10|Noam: Is he
talking about Bernard Hopkins?|
|8/4/05 05:21:24 PM|Fan|Fandom||Fan@Fandom.com||||10|Noam, I know it's confusing
but someone else posts under the name "Fan". Their hometown is N/A and you have
mixed me up with the other "Fan" on numerous occasions. I don't get involved in
politics so it's safe to say that any political stuff is posted by him.|
apologize to Steve and then please read this post.Just knowing Bin Laden
and Hussein isn't morally wrong until they actually do something bad. When we
initially liaised with Hussein, Iraq was fighting Iran. Remember Iran ? That
country took Americans hostage under the lame duck democrat president Carter.
Gerry seems to be saying that we should have been supporting Iran and not Iraq
