thirty two combatants are - Ken Norton, Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali, Sonny Liston,
Mike Tyson, Carl Williams, Lennox Lewis, Hasim Rahman, jimmy Young, Jimmy Ellis,
Michael Moorer, Gerry Cooney, Tony Tucker, Ezzard Charles, Trevor Berbick,Rocky
Marciano, Jersey Joe Walcott, Jerry Quarry, Riddick Bowe, Eddie Machen, George
Chuvalo, Larry Holmes, Max Schmelling, Joe Louis, Earnie Shavers, Floyd
Patterson, Michael Dokes, George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Zora Folley, Roland
La Starza and Cleveland Williams.Okay for the first two matches of the next
the second bout Riddick Bowe meets murderous punching Earnie Shavers. Evren|
by close decision over Folley. Tucker uses his height and reach advantage to
win enough rounds for the verdict. In a wild one where both parties hit the
deck, it is Bowe by eighth round knockout over Shavers. |
cival rights activist rosa parks with ali and frazier. take a good look at these
two fighters and tell me who came out of that trilogy the most damaged.evren;i
apoligise!your last 32 look for the most part pretty realistic.i like tucker by
decision because of sheer size advantage, not skill or talent level.i saw bowe
staggered many times by hollyfield, can't believe he'd survive long against
shavers, assuming shavers hit harder than hollyfield.i also take into account
bowes'sometimes breaks in concentration .not a good thing against shavers.i pick
shavers in less than five rounds.|
out box Shavers using his jab to keep Erine off balance. Shavers would land some
shots and hurt Bowe, but he would fade in the later rounds. I think Erine's
fights with Ali and Holmes proved he could take a good beating and hang in till
the end. In a pretty good fight, Bowe takes a tough 12 round decision. Tucker
was not the boxer Folley was but he is bigger and stronger and a good enough
boxer. It would be nip and tuck, both men landing some good exchanges. Alot of
clinching and holding in this one. Zora didn't have enough power to end it but
was crafty enough to stay out of trouble. Tony couldn't hurt Zora to put him
away but does enough with the jab to win a split.|
|4/9/02 09:54:49 PM|Joe Krause|Chicago,IL||sadmspats@yahoo.com||||10|Tucker was
a nice technical fighter, so was Folley. Tucker was much bigger however, and
would pick apart Zora to win a tough decision. Bowe vs Shavers is a pick-em. I
say Riddick got hit too much and Earnie takes him out pretty early. Like round
4. |
|4/11/02 08:18:50 AM|Evren|London||Evren@btinternet.com||||10|In an excellent
technical matchup Foley and Tucker engage in scientific boxing. The fight is
even going into the later stages when Tucker lands a crashing right cross and
Foley's chin gives out. The fight is won by Tucker in nine. The second
bout is brutal -Bowe decides to match fire with fire against Shavers and is
damaged severely for his ignorance. A crashing left hook right cross puts big
daddy down for the count of seven in the first. The bell saves him. After an all
