didn't take any real fights? What? Have you seen all three Ali fights, the
Bonevena fights, the Quarry fights, the Chuvalo fight, the first Ellis fight,
and yes even the Stander fight? Stander was 23-1-1, 15 by KO going into
the Frazier fight and he was a good prospect who fought well verses Frazier but
was stopped. Stander later squandered his talent by not training properly but
in the early 1970s, he deserved a title shot against Frazier more than Shavers
did because the record shows he beat Shavers by a fifth round knockout.I
don't know folks, maybe Noam just gets a kick out us responding to his nonsense
as he couldn't possibly believe some of what he comes up with, It defies all

Sure, Frazier had some real good wars, but there wasn't enough of them, and he
lost most of them, including several by embarrassing ko's. Put the kool aid down
and look at the holes in his resume.You have often told me Kent that you
were a fight fan in Frazier's day. Did you attend the Standers and Daniels and
Ellisburger fights if they were such blockbusters ? Did you see Forest there
?The pity is that a lot of what I have said, Kent, is agreed with by
many on this site, except you and Forest. You just don't want to admit the
truth. In your mind you've built this legend up around Frazier and you resent
that facts have torn part of it down. With all due respect, Kent, some
of the excuses you gave for Frazier missing some of the fights against big
punchers were laughable. Cindy Brady would be more plausible.Frazier had
tune ups, tune downs, there was more money for a Daniels v Frazier fight than a
Frazier v Norton one, Frazier didn't want to fight Norton because him loved him
too much (not that there's anything wrong with that Angelo), he had to fight
Quarry the second time round because the Village People sanctioned it as a title
eliminator, Ellis was a viable opponent the second time even though he hadn't
won a fight for the previous four years, and on it went.If I ever get in
trouble, I want you on my jury, Kent. No matter what proof the d.a. puts in
front of you, you'd have a completely plausible explanation to find me innocent.
I'd be sitting there polishing my halo with an angelic smile and clean
complexion, and you'd be sucking it all in. We need more Kents.

watch the Tyson fight ? The Tzsyu fight ? The Mayweather v Gatti fight ?
I think Mayweather might well be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the
world at the moment. There's talk that Mayweather will fight Hatton soon. That
would be a great fight, but only if Hatton can get himself up for it. He has a
history of slackening off between fights and putting on heaps of
weight.I'd pick Mayweather to stop him, especially if it's not fought on
Hatton's home soil. |
