there was more he could have done also. Like I said, there is plenty of
room to go around on both sides of the political isle and the more we all
realize this and start to truly work together, despite our differences, the
better off we will all be.|
Y||mooseygoop@aol.com||||10|Kent/MassThat reminds me...The Moorer vs
Bert Cooper was a classic. Bert wasn't suppose to have a chance against Moorer
but almost ko'ed him. I got to dig it out and see it again. Thats the one fault
Moorer had is he couldn't stand up to a heavyweights punch.|
mozart.com||||10|Ed-I remember the legendary slugfest Moorer-Cooper, it
was almost another Foreman-Lyle. Bert was clumsy in the ring but could punch
very hard, harder than Ray Impelletiere. He was always a dangerous oppenent with
a chuvalian chin and had Evandro "Real nuts" Camposanto in trouble for a while
in their fight.PS: by the way, Wilt's father was only 5'8" wilt.|
a Republican who votes for the best candidate without regard to their party. I
usually end up voting Republican and twice voted against Clinton---but I totally
agree with you that it's ridiculous to blame Bill Clinton for 9-11. We were
caught off guard. I think it's wrong to blame Bush or Clinton. It was the
first time guys with box cutters took over jumbo jets and flew them into
buildings. Nobody saw this coming. Yes, we knew that terrorism was a threat,
but it's insane to think that Clinton or Bush should have been psychic enough to
see this coming. Now that it happened, we need to do everything we can to make
sure it doesn't happen again.As for classic punches, how about Ray Mercer
KOing Tommy Morrison? |
|12/2/04 04:47:45 PM|Massimo|Roma (means Rome)||.com||||10|Angelo-I
remember that just before the Gunn-Mercer fight they made a TV spot to publicize
the bout in which there was a human being ( I don't know his name) that (who)
said: Tommy Gunn is gonna win the fight because Ray Mercer hits hard...But Tommy
Gunn hits harder !Just seen again Foreman-Stewart, it was a very tough
fight for both fighters. Giorgio was still competitive at 43 against a very good
heavyweight. When Tyson we'll be 43, I will be strong enough to whip his
ass.Angelo, your political ideas are the same as (or of) Alex P.Keaton.
Alex's favourite Repubblican Presidents were Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan.
Who ( or what, or which) are yours ? I have a vague opinion on the subject of
who is better between Repubblicans and Democratics, but I'm not sure, it's only
a vague opinion. I watch the CNN every day, but I understand only 50%, 55 %
of what they say, because (or as) they have the absurd custom of not speaking
Italian :-). But I have a lot of funin doing that. You talk pretty often
about us Italians, the Fiat, the Alfa Romeo etc, you have a smart selection of
subjects, in my opinion.PS: Wilt's mother was 5'9" wilt. |
just am sick of people giving lectures about Clinton's failures regarding
terrorism when anybody critizes W. Bush even the least bit. It is like Bush can
do no wrong on the subject and that is just not true.Another slugfest
along Foreman/Lyle lines was Lyle verse Shavers. I still don't know how Lyle
got up from that left hook in round number two.|
|12/3/04 03:37:04 AM|Kent|La Habra, Ca||kentallenent@aol.com||||10|Massimo, I
remember the Foreman/Stewart fight as starting out looking like a quick KO for
Foreman, Stewart was knocked down a couple of times in the first round but he
survived. Boy did he survive! He got up and gave Big George a beating
for much of the rest of the fight. George's face was very swollen up at the end
and I thought George lost but the judges voted for George.Foreman often
commented about him being too nice in the second part of his career. That he
would sometimes go easier on his opponent when he had him hurt. If this was the
case in the Stewart fight, then George paid for it dearly. The Foreman of the
