they won't show pieces of legend, unfortunately.Anyway, they' ll show
the 1984 Roland Garros final Lendl-McEnroe. As the N.1 John McEnroe's fan ( I
really love his " genius ") I haven't yet swallowed his defeat in that match. If
he had won that match, now he'd be remembered as one of the greatest champions
of all time. Above Lendl, of course.Now it's very late here in Rome and
I have to go to my king sized bed.|

tough. I simply said that you would not call me names to my face as you did on
this site. To insult someone from a distance like that is the mark of a coward.
The Marines over there are fighting for us and our safety and are winning.
Whether you like it or not or think it is good. I hope they all come back asap.
Kerry hyped a book written about American atrocities in Vietnam and that book
was proven to be all lies. So he didn’t tell the truth. He was there for four
months and all of his commanders and most of the men who served with him have
all signed a petition saying he is unfit To be Commander and chief. And by your
logic it was our fault 911 happened. I can understand and respect other opinions
but not that one. |

Bonavena fight once against Ali and just clips of him I'd like to see his
fights. Does the digital cable give you accses to those fights. Who won between
him and Lyle? He fought around the same time as Jerry against the same guys.
There are alot of intersting comparisons. Like Bonavena didn't get cut against
Ali and gave him hell thats why I have always been convinced that if it weren't
for the cut Jerry would have beat Ali in the first. |

gives me access to those fights. They give one new fight a month,on average.
Bonavena was very tough and punched hard. His problem was he had no talent, even
if he knew all the tricks. That's the reason I think that PROBABLY Jerry Quarry
would have beaten him on points, in the same way Zora Folley and Floyd Patterson
did. Jerry was as durable as Bonavena, Bonavena probably hit a little harder,
but Jerry was much more skillful than Oscar. It would have been one hell of a
fight !Regarding Ali'-Quarry,Ali' won in such a dominating way in
their second fight, that I can't immagine how Jerry could( or might, or may )
have beaten him.Stiles make fights and probably in Ali's stile there was
something Jerry couldn't handle.Jerry did a little better in their first
fight, though.|

think the combination of Ali's size, speed and style neutralized JQ's best
attributes.I think that even if JQ weren't cut, he'd have lost a decision.
The amazing thing is that Ali was able to win this fight, against one of the
best fighters in the world, without more tune-up coming out of exile. Ali
should have fought a few more before challenging Frazier though.|

saying but I think that the first fight was a big oppurtunity for Jerry and he
had the skills to beat him. He was Catching Ali after 3 years off and look at
the hard fight with Bonavena and then Frazier. The Quarry fight could have been
a no contest or draw. By todays rules they would have ruled it that way because
it was only three rounds a non fight Jerry just got cut. There was no outcome
boxing wise. Just a cut. The second fight Jerry could not have been
focused after seeing Mike knocked out like that. Ali got better as he wore off
the rust. Not making excuses but I think he would have won the first fight. He
was hungry comming off of a big win against Foster had a guy comming back after
3 years but thats history.....|
